Capt Ambrose Ojuyenum commenced his Maritime Operation Career which has spanned over four decades as one of the pioneers of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, On completion of  Cadet-ship served as Navigation Officer on General Cargo Vessels on the then National Carrier -NNSL,  trading World-Over, Apapa trawlers Limited as well as Nigerian  Green-lines Shipping Apapa.

He is a holder of Australian Deck Class 1 Foreign going unlimited COC & a graduate of Ladoke Akintola University specializing in Transport Mgt Logistics

He additionally had exposure with other foreign going companies such as V-Ships Inc, Cyprus Gas fleet. In their LPG Carriers.

Furthermore, He took up momentary position as operating manager in Southern Star Shipping a division of Flour Mills of Nigeria.

He Subsequently progressed his carrier as Marine Supervisor at NLNG Bonny where LNG Ships were handled in a seamless Port Operations comparable only to the international standards. As Marine Supervisor and Loading Master at Bonny River terminal Vetting, Scheduling and attending to LPG vessels, condensate and Pentane Plus Vessels. Supervise loading operation and Completion of shipboard documentation with terminal equipment survey and inspection for Operability. Constantly Updating of Work procedures to comply with international regulations.

Obviously with his penchant for  Port Export Operations he later served on the Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited on the Erha FPSO where he handled Cargo Export  operations and critical documentation.

After which he progressed and joined the Mooring Masters at the Exxon-Mobil terminals where he handled VLCCs and Gas export operations.

He is currently serving as Pilot/Loading Master with special interests in; manpower  training development standards, Maritime Security and Port Export operations.
